Some people have to lose it all…

Screen Shot 2017-02-20 at 11.35.12 PM.pngI have said before, I was raised in the church, but that is not to say that I was necessarily raised to understand the fullness of God’s promises. This is to no fault of my parents; in fact it’s quite the opposite.  I know they did the best they knew how, and I am grateful they got me to church and Sunday school because I did, in fact, ask Jesus into my heart at the tender age of 11;  I just never understood what it meant to surrender FULLY… Continue reading “Some people have to lose it all…”

What Is Your Seed?

Zero multiplied by zero equals zero.

We all learn this from an early age.  How then, do we get caught up in the thinking that if we give nothing, God will multiply it into something?  Yes, God can and does make something out of nothing.  But, regarding us, that is not his modus operandi.  God is a God of multiplication, and putting that principle to work requires us to deposit something into the equation.  And despite what we may tell ourselves, we all have something.  Even if it is as tiny as a mustard seed.

I believe this is a time where God is asking us to take that mustard seed, ability, resource, measure of time, or even mental or emotional baggage—whatever it may be that he has been highlighting to you, regardless of how unconventional, unfit, or insufficient it may seem—and step out and plant it. Go and Make Disciples…..

PRAISE JESUS! for these little miracles that I get to be with and love with every breath I take.

It is not January 1st, it is no longer even the month of January, but it is never too late to set my intentions for the year of 2017….
God has been moving in and through me!! So this year, more than ever, I choose to be intentional every day and to be the example to my children. To not just teach them the ways of the Lord, but to show them through my example.
The desire of my heart is to…

orient the culture of my family toward making disciples of those who do not know Christ and teaching new disciples what is means to live in obedience to him.

– Praying Through the Bible for your Kids by Nancy Guthrie

This starts within the walls of my own home and begins a chain reaction where it will ultimately effect change in millions of others all around the world. I know enough now to never underestimate the power of my Lord Jesus.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28: 18-20

the Ultimate HOW TO Guide…

It is a little silly to think about, but the thought kept crossing my mind today that there are no original thoughts. To me it makes sense that the Bible was the first written text and therefore the original thought; and even that has been translated over and over again. However, it was never left to just one individual and only their perception of what he thought was intended for each verse… Continue reading “the Ultimate HOW TO Guide…”

I will instruct you…

“TRUST ME…Don’t fall into the trap of being constantly on the go. Many, many things people do in My Name have no value in My kingdom. To avoid doing meaningless works, stay in continual communication with Me. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” – Jesus Calling daily devotional 2/9/17

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you”. —PSALM 32:8 NASB

I have learned that to escape the feeling of loneliness does not mean to fill all my available time with random activities, rather to be intentional about my day and who I allow to pour into me. I am a product of those I spend the most time with…

I now can see very clearly what and who support me on the journey that I so desire to move…
I am grateful that God instructs me clearly and leads me to His word to find guidance in determining which path to take; and MOST importantly meets me ANYTIME i want to consult His opinion. Trying to figure it out on my own…attempting to control it all…was exhausting and unfulfilling and left me very anxious and lonely.
I have been so blessed to meet and get to know the most incredible individuals during the last few weeks. People who were literally steps away to thousands of miles away…but because I have been obedient to take action when I felt the nudge, God has blessed me beyond belief with the most perfectly gifted people at the most perfect time. As a result I have moved forward faster than I could have ever dreamed…

thought to ponder…If it doesn’t come easy, it may not be the correct path at the right time (and that does not exclude relationships)

OR

perhaps it is indeed the right path, but the adversary is attempting to distract you for the blessings that await….more on that another time….

Imperfectly, Perfect

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”      Jeremiah 29:11 ESV

I am who I am…

Here it goes. the very first of its kind. Fighting the need to want it all perfect before sharing, I realize that is the beauty of it….it is imperfectly perfect. Just as it was intended to be.

God doesn’t expect me to be perfect. so why do I??!!?? Jesus was and is the ONLY person who has ever walked this earth free of sin. Continue reading “Imperfectly, Perfect”
